o’er the bitter haze

of barren blood lands

to rebirth wandering spirits

long forsaken

in the ancient citadel

of yellowed skeletons

prostrate beneath poisoned cinders

unsigned sepulchres

chiseled on raging scaffolds

of vermillion smoke.
