Coming soon from ASPA!
🎃 Lee and I have been giving ourselves some much-needed time to write. As you can imagine, writing is often the first thing to suffer when we commit to other responsibilities, so we apologise if ASPA has been quieter lately. However, you can expect more activity within the ASPA community as autumn approaches.
🎃 We run ASPA voluntarily alongside our professional commitments, while also juggling other work obligations and responsibilities related to family, home, and health—just like everyone else. We will continue to take the lead, but ASPA thrives when members actively contribute and connect with one another.
🎃 I understand that many members may feel hesitant and expect others to reach out first. Therefore, it is important for those of you who are more confident to take the initiative and start a conversation using the chat feature. Please complete your profile, including a photo, as this will encourage others to engage with you.
It is unlikely that anyone will be offended or abusive within the ASPA community; we intended it to be distinctly different from Facebook groups, fostering a supportive and collaborative environment.

And then just click on ‘New Chat’ to see all the members.
🎃 Here are some things you can look forward to in the coming months:
• A timetable of webinars
• Access to low-cost, user-friendly author websites
• A new suppliers page where experts can advertise their services, and
members can access them if needed.
• Newsletters
• Forum discussions
• Blogs
• Special offers.
🎃 Here’s how you can help make this work:
Participate in the webinars.
These create an environment where we can learn from each other.
Write a blog post.
I know some members may be growing weary of my rhetoric, so PLEASE 😀 feel free to write about any aspect of writing or publishing, share your personal experiences, or discuss another author (whether famous or not).
Start a discussion in the forum.
Create a profile picture. People are less likely to connect if they see an incomplete profile.
Share your ideas.
If you have ideas about anything that could be added to ASPA please write to us. We welcome anything that is beneficial to the community and the creation and marketing of books.
Junk mail.
Please let us know if you discover that blogs and newsletters are going into your trash/junk email folder (contact info at bottom of this article). ASPA will only succeed if we maintain efficient communications.
Comment
Comment and like blogs and forum posts. It takes only a few minutes and encourages the contributors to do more.

A heartfelt thank you to those who have contributed financially to help sustain the ASPA platform. All financial responsibilities fall on Lee and me, so any support you can provide is genuinely appreciated, regardless of the amount. If you wish to contribute, you can do so [here]:
